The worst part for me about Silksong isn't even that it was supposed to be a DLC for the original HK game or that it was part of a previous crowdfunding campaign. It's the abysmal communication that worries me. The lack of trailers, or showcases, or anything. It's that PR person who told everybody in February 2019 "the devs are wrapping-up development" (I'm sure after that statement was made, something happened that made the devs re-think the scope of Silksong, hence the extended wait, but still). It's insane to me how the devs are not saying anything, just letting this dude speaking on their behalf on Reddit like that's ok, especially after letting everybody down last year with the XBox thing. Speaking of which, XBox has to be super pissed at them. If Silksong is short of stellar, Team Cherry is going to see their hard-earned reputation destroyed.

Gentoo is quite interesting actually. I recently delved into the world of Gentoo and it is not that bad. I see why most Linux users avoid it as it can be steep learning curve.

Thanks for the video. It really does work great! No any weirdness like wrong speed or broken task switching. Now proceeding to set it up also to some other computers for a lan game. I would like to advertise the use of "fov" console command for getting a wider vision in the game, nice with these modern big widescreen monitors.

I've been using a Arc A770 for a while now on Linux, I'm happy with it, performance could be better sure, but everything kinda just works. Except for the odd shader artifact here and there in games like Cyberpunk 2077. The only thing I really miss on that card is VR support. The A310 in my NAS also works like a charm as a transcoder card, for that purpose it could even run without a fan on it based on some testing I did. Fiddled with a RX 7900XT for a bit, but that card just kept on crashing and locking up my system no matter what kind of load was on the card, and that even happened on both Linux and Windows, that's why I got the A770 instead.

Hey! artist fellow here, been using OpenTabletDriver(not every pen-tablet is supported) for my wacom on hyprland, does the job so far(can configure screenmapping, buttons and pen-sensitivity, plus has optional plugins). There's also gsetwacom (developed by RedHat) looking to replace xsetwacom cli tool to be protocol agnostic. But got no solutions for Krita (has to be recompiled for wayland) or the color calibration software. Love the show and hope wayland ~just works~ for everything in the future without perf penalty.

I actually picked up a HP EliteDesk 405 G4 Mini TODAY. What a coincidence! I paid 100 euros for a model with a 2400GE, 8 GB single channel, and no SSD. I just ordered a HDMI port adapter to replace the VGA port with and a SATA adapter/caddy. I've a 256 GB SSD laying around for now, although I'm planning on upgrading to a 1TB SSD and dual channel 16GB later. It's indeed an amazing deal! I'm mostly going to use it as a portable, dedicated Batocera machine for emulation and Steam games. I'm also planning on using it on LAN parties. I find my PC too bulky to bring with me and we play old games most of the time, so this is perfect! :)

Very cool. I bounced between Davinci resolve 17 on Linux, Mac, and Windows 11. I've since abandoned the linux and Windows versions bc my M3 macbook pro can render out 1hr+ podcast in 15-17 minutes while my 3080Ti can take 45 minutes for the same projects and effects. Another weird tick with the linux version. If I installed fonts after installing resolve, it could never find them. I always have to install fonts first, then install davinci. Plus not being able to utilize mkv codec is another bummer. Otherwise love it. Wish I could use the linux version more
